A 2-pack of vented toothbrush covers (one white, one gray): 1.65 in hard plastic head caps with a hinge and snap clasp that keep bristles from getting crushed in a bag while side vents let the brush air out.
These toothbrush covers are hinged hard plastic caps that close over the brush head only. In a packed bag, they keep bristles from being bent, frayed or flattened, and they keep a damp brush away from clean clothes, makeup and razors. Each one is 1.65 in (4.2 cm) long and weighs 0.21 oz (6 g), so it adds almost nothing to a toiletry bag. The pack has two, one white and one gray.
| These head covers | Full-length travel case | |
|---|---|---|
| What it covers | Brush head only | Whole brush |
| Size in your bag | 1.65 x 0.9 x 0.78 in | About the length of the brush |
| Airflow | Two side vents | Varies; many are closed tubes |
| Handle | Stays uncovered | Covered |
If you want the handle covered too, or a case that holds toothpaste as well, a full case is the better fit. If you want the bristles protected with the least bulk, a head cover does the job.
The cover is made to fit most standard manual and electric brush heads. The outside measures 1.65 x 0.9 x 0.78 in (4.2 x 2.3 x 2 cm), so the space inside is a little smaller. Extra-large or unusually shaped heads may not close, so if your brush head is close to those numbers, test the fit at home before you pack.
The cap opens on a hinge that folds back 180 degrees and closes with a front clasp that clicks into place. The clasp grips firmly so the cap stays on at the bottom of a backpack. Two rectangular vents on the sides let air move through, so a damp brush isn't sealed in a closed tube.
One white and one gray cover make it easy for couples, roommates, or a parent and child to tell brushes apart when they're packed in the same toiletry bag or used in a shared bathroom.
No antibacterial or UV feature is claimed. These are plain hard plastic covers that protect the head physically and let air in. Rinse the cover now and then and let it dry open. At home, many people leave the brush upright and uncovered to dry between uses and save the cover for travel.
For the rest of the bathroom routine, a toothpaste squeezer roller keeps tubes standing upright on the counter. More small travel and bathroom helpers are in home and everyday finds.
