Sports and Outdoors

This category covers two practice-gear fixes. If your 6 x 4 ft youth soccer goal frame is still sound but the net is torn, a replacement net refits it: choose a single white net or a set of two, both for 72 x 48 in frames with about 120 mm mesh, and note that neither includes posts, clips or ties. If your field hockey stick handle feels slick or thin, the grip tape 2-pack re-wraps two handles with cushioned PU strips 110 cm (43.3 in) long. Measure your frame or handle first; the details are below.

A replacement net makes sense when the goal frame is sound and only the netting is worn or torn. Before ordering, measure the frame's width, height and depth, and note how your old net attaches. Neither net comes with hardware, so reuse your old clips or straps, or have zip ties or hook-and-loop straps ready. The mesh is about 120 mm (4.7 in) square, suited to size 4 and size 5 balls.

Choose the set of two to re-net a pair of matching goals or to keep a spare for next season. Choose the single net when only one goal needs it.

How to re-wrap a field hockey stick grip

The field hockey grip tape 2-pack replaces a worn, slippery or thin handle grip. Each black PU strip has a perforated surface and a raised orange center ridge that adds cushioning and leaves a spiral contour under your hands. Only a short starter section is adhesive.

  1. Start with a clean, dry handle.
  2. Peel the film from the starter section and anchor it at the lower end of the grip area.
  3. Wrap upward in an even spiral. More overlap gives a thicker grip but covers less length.
  4. Check the coverage, trim any excess, and secure the top with a black finishing strip.

This is handle grip, not cloth tape for the blade, a chamois wrap or a preformed sleeve. One strip re-wraps one stick, so the pack covers two sticks, or one stick plus a spare.

Frequently asked questions

Will a 6x4 net fit a goal sold as 4x6?

Yes, if the frame measures 6 ft (72 in) wide and 4 ft (48 in) high. 4x6 and 6x4 describe the same goal size written in a different order. Check the depth and attachment points too, since frame shapes vary.

Do the replacement soccer nets come with clips or ties?

No. Both are net-only replacements, with no posts, straps, clips or ties. Reuse the hardware from your old net, or attach the new one with zip ties or hook-and-loop straps.

What's the difference between the single net and the set of two?

The set of two has two white polyethylene nets for 72 x 48 in frames, enough for two goals or one goal plus a spare. The single net is one white polypropylene net for a rectangular 6 x 4 ft frame. Both have about 120 mm mesh.

Is the field hockey grip tape self-adhesive?

Only a short starter section at one end is adhesive, to anchor the wrap. The rest of the backing isn't sticky, and you secure the top end with one of the included black finishing strips.

Is one 110 cm strip long enough for my stick handle?

Each strip is 110 cm (43.3 in) long and 2.5 cm (about 1 in) wide. How far it reaches depends on your overlap: more overlap builds a thicker grip but covers less of the handle. Check the length against the part of the handle you want covered before you start.
