A single soccer goal net replacement for 6 x 4 ft frames

This is one white soccer goal net replacement for a rectangular frame that measures 6 ft wide by 4 ft high, the size some listings call 4x6. It's net only: the frame, posts, ties, clips and ball are not included. Use it when your goal frame is still in good shape and only the netting has torn or worn out.

Which ball sizes does the mesh catch?

The netting has 120 mm openings, which suit size 4 and size 5 soccer balls. Smaller size 3 balls may slip through.

If your youngest player is still kicking a size 3 ball, expect some shots to go through.

Will it fit my goal?

Check three things before you order:

• The front opening is 6 ft wide and 4 ft high.
• The frame is rectangular. Folding and pop-up goals aren't always, so compare the shape and depth with your old net.
• You have fasteners ready, since none are included.

Goals that measure 6 x 8 ft, 24 x 8 ft or a small 4 x 3 ft need a different net.

Choosing fasteners and hanging the net

Zip ties hold firmly but have to be cut off later. Hook-and-loop straps come off easily if you store the net between seasons. Clips suit frames that already have clip slots or channels.

1. Start at the center of the crossbar and work out to each post.
2. Fasten the net down both posts, then along the back and ground edges.
3. Keep the front opening snug but leave a little give at the back, so the net catches shots instead of bouncing them out.
