What kind of monkey mask is this?

This monkey mask is an open-face felt design. Instead of covering the whole head or face, it frames the face with a furry-looking monkey outline and leaves one connected opening around the eyes, nose and mouth. Your own expression stays part of the costume, you can talk without your voice being muffled, and smiles show up in photos.

Will it fit a child or an adult?

It's a one-size mask held on with a black elastic strap. It's listed as a big-kid mask, and adults can also wear it as a costume accent. We don't publish measurements, so fit depends on face shape: check that the opening lines up with the eyes, nose and mouth and that the strap doesn't press anywhere.

Do the try-on a few days before the event, not on the night, so there's time to adjust. Stop wearing the mask if it feels uncomfortable. For younger kids, an adult should set the strap and keep an eye on the fit while they wear it.

Wearing tips

Felt is light, so the mask is easy to wear through a party or a parade. Set the strap so the mask sits level and the eye opening doesn't drift down while you walk. If you wear glasses, check during the try-on that the frames sit comfortably with the mask on.

How do you clean and store it?

Hand wash the mask gently in cold water and lay it flat to air dry. Don't machine wash it or dry clean it. Store it flat in a bag or box between uses so the face frame keeps its shape and the furry edge doesn't get crushed.
