This Feliz Cumpleaños balloon is a single foil (mylar) balloon shaped like a wrapped gift box, with the greeting printed across turquoise and red artwork. Inflated, it measures about 24 x 20 in (61 x 51 cm), large enough to read from across a room and to frame the top of a cake-table photo. How to set it up

1. Unfold the balloon flat and find the valve at the neck.
2. Slide the straw or pump nozzle well into the valve and fill slowly.
3. Stop when the shape is full and smooth but before the seams feel tight; overfilling can split a seam.
4. Pull the straw or nozzle out. The self-sealing valve closes on its own.
5. Tie on a length of the 33 ft (10 m) curling ribbon, then hang it or anchor it.

An adult should handle the inflating and hanging. Keep uninflated or popped balloon pieces away from small children.

Keep metallic balloons anchored

Foil balloons are metallic and conduct electricity. If you fill this one with helium, keep it tied to a weight, and never let it go outdoors, where a loose metallic balloon can drift into power lines.
