What size are these birthday party hats?

These birthday party hats are standard size, not mini. Each one folds into a cone 7.9 in (20 cm) tall with a 5.9 in (15 cm) base, so it sits properly on a child's head and reads clearly in cake photos. Adult guests can wear them for a quick group picture too.

What do the hats look like?

All 12 hats use ombre rainbow designs with Happy Birthday in reflective foil lettering. The base material is laminated 250gsm white cardstock, heavier than the thin paper used in many favor-pack hats, which helps each cone keep its shape through the party.

Because every hat says Happy Birthday, the set works for a birthday at any age, from a classroom party to an office celebration, but not for other occasions.

How do you put them together?

The hats ship flat, which keeps them from getting crushed before the event. Assembly is the same for each one:

1. Fold the flat sheet into a cone.
2. Push the tab into the slot to lock the edge.
3. Thread the elastic string through the pre-punched holes.
4. Tie it to the length you want and trim the ends.
