What do you get with this rainbow raindrop garland?

This rainbow raindrop garland comes as two continuous, machine-sewn strands, each 9.84 ft (3 m) long, for 19.68 ft (6 m) in total. Between them they carry about 56 colorful drops cut from double-sided pearlescent cardstock. Each drop measures about 2.95 x 1.77 in (7.5 x 4.5 cm) and folds open along its center so it stands out from the thread.

Two long strands or many short ones?

Our blue, purple and pink raindrop sets each come as eight short strands. This rainbow set gives you two long runs instead, which allows layouts short strands can't do:

• Swag: drape the strands across a window, a mantel or the front of a party table.
• Tall drop: hang them full length from a high ceiling, a stair rail or a loft balcony.
• Rain curtain: cut each strand into shorter pieces and hang them side by side. Cutting each into three gives six pieces of roughly 3.3 ft (1 m).

When you trim, cut the thread in a gap between drops and leave a tail of a few inches so you can tie or tape the new end. Measure the drop you want before cutting; a strand is easy to shorten and impossible to lengthen.

How to hang the strands

1. Separate the two strands gently on a table before lifting either one.
2. Fold each drop open along its center so it holds a 3D shape.
3. For a vertical drop, fix the top end first and let the strand hang straight.
4. For a swag, fix both ends first, then adjust the dip in the middle.

The drops are paper. Keep them dry and away from candles, open flames and hot bulbs, including when you hang a strand from a chandelier or light fixture.
